This is the heat sink I used - the heat sink of AMD's stock cooler. Here you can see it (without the fan) but with the thermal tape still intact.

You can use any CPU cooler you want. But again, it's best to stick to one that is less than 6 x 6 cm in size.

I also used a hand drill, two bolts and two non-conductive washers for this modding project.

In summary, you will need the following :-

  • A hand drill / drill press
  • Two bolts (3 mm in diameter or smaller)
  • Two non-conductive washers
  • A 6 x 6 cm CPU cooler
