The Package
As usual, these Kingston modules come in a simple black plastic tray with a transparent top cover. The transparent cover is kept in place by a printed label that identifies the memory kit and provides a very rudimentary form of anti-tamper protection.
The label clearly identifies this as the Kingston KHX8500D2K2/1G memory kit. Just in case you cannot readily decipher what it means, it also includes basic specifications about the kit. Namely, it identifies this kit as a 1GB PC2-8500 memory kit with two memory modules, and that these modules were assembled in the US.
