The Package

The ThermoEye DT2000 comes in a retail box. You can clearly see the contents. The front also shows the ThermoEye's main features.

Behind, you will find specifications for the ThermoEye, a list of the contents as well as installation instructions.

Although it looks as if you can just pull the box apart, it is actually sealed shut by two copper studs. Here's a picture of the studs.

The studs completely lock the box so that you cannot peel it apart. However, the seal is not watertight. So, if you drop it into water, it's still going to leak into the box.

While the use of studs is probably good for anti-theft purposes, it makes the box really hard to open! After trying many times to peel open the box, I finally gave up and cut the center section out instead.

Inside the package, you will find these following items :

      • Jetart ThermoEye DT2000 thermometer
      • Thermal sensor
      • Tape (2 pieces)
      • Velcro tape

Here are the ThermoEye's specifications.
