The 1.5 TB Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex was a very fast USB 3.0 drive. It was faster than all the other USB 3.0 external drives with the singular exception of the 64 GB OCZ Enyo. This is possibly due to the use of two internal drives, instead of the usual single drive.

When it came to writes though, the 1.5 TB Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex could not keep up with the flash-based Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 and OCZ Enyo drives. However, it was still the fastest HDD-based external drive in this comparison.
