Inside The Package
Upon opening the lid of the box, you will see the large 120 mm fan that Scythe is using to cool this monstrousity! Once you remove the fan, you will see the heatsink with the 12 ends of the heatpipes protruding through the cardboard insert.

The heatsink |
Below the heatsink are the mounting accessories in its very own box. However, we can see that the heavy heatsink did a pretty nice number on the box, smashing the top in. We'll see later if the heatsink's base paid the ultimate price. Scythe should rethink their packaging method for this heavy heatsink.

Inside the box are the mounting accessories. As you can see, Scythe supplied their own backplate to replace the back plate that came with your motherboard. There is also a black plastic mounting bracket for Socket 750/939/940 and a metal mounting bracket for Socket 775. It also comes with a pair of fan clips to mount the included fan onto the heatsink.
Finally, Scythe included a manual to show you how to mount the heatsink for the processor platform you have.
