The Package
ABIT opted for a large motherboard box for the AW8-MAX. The box is clearly thicker than any other box we have seen so far.
Many manufacturers now like to add a sleeve cover to the box, and ABIT follows this trend.
Undoubtedly, it's a great way to market their products with a fancy looking sleeve cover exhorting all of its features, but it sure makes it harder to get to the motherboard. You must slide off the cover to get to the actual box.
Also popular is the flip cover and the AW8-MAX comes with that as well.
Flipping over the flip cover reveals a few small clear windows that show off the Silent OTES, 7.1 channels sound support, and the dual gigabit LAN.
The actual box itself is plain white without any logos on it.
