The Heatsink

Immediately, you can see that the design is quite different from what we are used to. It looks like Mushkin had been chomping on the top of the heatsink like Pacman!

While the front says it's a Redline module, the back only has a Mushkin label. Probably a real Mushkin Redline module will also have a sticker stating its speed grade and timings on the front.

Things look quite different from the top. Now, doesn't the module look like a kind of poisonous snake?!

Nothing much in the bottom view though.

Interestingly, Mushkin's new design now uses a smaller clip. Two of these small, stainless steel clips hold the two halves of the new heatsink together.

But from what we can see, the smaller size does not make it any easier to remove!
