Size Comparison
To give you an idea of how big (and small) it is, we compared the card against its predecessors, the GeForce 8800 GTX and the GeForce 7900 GTX. At 27 cm long, the GeForce 8800 Ultra is as long as the GeForce 8800 GTX and 4.5 cm longer than the GeForce 7900 GTX.
As the side profile shows, the shroud of the GeForce 8800 Ultra cooler extends right to the end of the card. As such, it may interfere with components on your motherboard or in your case. Therefore, before you buy the GeForce 8800 GTX, do note that the 3.5 cm thickness runs throughout the entire length of the card.
In addition, the fan protrudes about 3.1 cm from the top of the card. That makes the card 12 cm at its widest. While this generally should not be a problem for most mid-sized or larger cases, it may be a real problem with smaller cases.
