After cutting the plastic stickers that kept the package firmly closed, we were able to lift the flaps. When the package was opened, we were immediately greeted by the instruction manual for the Nautilus 500. Underneath it, bubble wrap protected the external enclosure of the Nautilus 500 from any harm during transit.

Removing the manual and bubble wrap showed the Nautilus 500's external enclosure clearer and also uncovered the bottle of coolant that was included with the Nautilus 500. Finally, the mounting kit as well as the actual water block were located after the flap on the left hand side was lifted.

Before we go on any further, we would like to take this chance to show you the manual that comes with the Nautilus 500. A well-prepared, detailed manual is something that is becoming increasingly rare these days. A well-prepared AND manual in full-color is simply unheard of!

We just have to say, Corsair did a superb job preparing a beautiful manual to supplement their product. This clearly deserves an honorable mention in the review.

Corsair threw all the loose parts into a plastic bag. Inside, you will find a power cable that connects the external enclosure to the PCI pass-through bracket. There's also the PCI pass-through bracket, various mounting components and male quick connect fittings.

Corsair included a tube of thermal grease and a bottle of coolant. At the back of the bottle are the directions for its use with the kit, as well as some cautionary information about the contents of the bottle.

Here, we can see that the main ingredient of the coolant is propylene glycol. Propylene glycol is a form of anti-freeze that possesses some anti-corrosive properties. That's very important in water cooling loops that use more than one type of metal.

Without having propylene glycol in the water cooling loop, galvanic corrosion can become a real problem, if there is more than one type of metal present in the loop.
