Introduction

In any PC, the hottest component is naturally the CPU. But another contributing factor to the internal temperature of the case is the graphics card which is also usually the second hottest component in the computer.

Normally, the manufacturers will include a mediocre cooler that barely does the job. The heat, of course, hinders the enthusiasts from overclocking their graphics card higher. Hence, we come to world of aftermarket cooling for our graphics card.

But no matter how good that is, it will still reintroduce the hot exhaust air into the case and feed the hot air back into the graphics card cooler as well as other components. So the ideal way would be to totally exhaust the hot air right?

Well, Arctic Cooling has been doing that since their conception of the VGA Silencer.

Today, we will be looking at their new product line for the NVIDIA cards - the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5!
