The Rubber Pads

At all four corners of the cooler's top are rubber pads. These are normally kept recessed during travel and flipped out when in use.

When you are travelling, the rubber pads should be stowed away so that they don't protrude from the surface.

And when you need to use the cooler, just flip them out.

From the picture above, you can see the recessed storage area for the rubber pads.

The rubber pads are quite important because they ensure a proper grip on the underchassis of your notebook. They also elevate your notebook off the cooler surface for better air flow.
