Doom 3
The GeForce 7900 GTX was slightly faster than the GeForce 7950 GX2 at 16xAF. When 4x anti-aliasing was enabled, the GeForce 7900 GTX suffered a rather large loss of frame rate of 26.5%. On the other hand, the GeForce 7950 GX2 suffered a small loss of frame rate of 7.4%.
Quake 4
All three cards did well in Quake 4 when only anisotropic filtering was enabled. When 4x anti-aliasing was applied though, the difference was obvious. The GeForce 7950 GX2 more or less maintained its frame rate while the GeForce 7900 GTX suffered a drop in frame rate of 18%. The GeForce 7900 GT suffered the most, losing about 39% of its frame rate at 4xAA.
3DMark 06
The new GeForce 7950 GX2 achieved an astounding score of 6129 points in 3DMark 06 with this testbed. It was 20% faster than the GeForce 7900 GTX and 53% faster than the GeForce 7900 GT.
The lead was more pronounced in the Shader Model 2.0 test. It was 28% faster than the GeForce 7900 GTX and 82% faster than the GeForce 7900 GT.
The GeForce 7950 GX2's performance was even better in the SM 3.0 test. Here, its lead over its rivals was 34% and 86% respectively.
