Conclusion
The GeForce 7600 GT is a welcomed addition to the NVIDIA GeForce 7 series. It's more than about time for a new mid-range card. The GeForce 6600 GT is getting a little long in the tooth!
The new GPU brings with it much improvements. More pixel pipelines, more vertex pipelines, a higher clock speed, more memory bandwidth, a smaller process technology, etc. etc. All designed to make this the new king of mid-range cards.
As our preliminary benchmarks have shown, the GeForce 7600 GT may truly be the new mid-range card to be reckoned with. It was generally about 70% as fast as the GeForce 7800 GTX. Now, that's really something for a mid-range card that cost a lot less.
Thanks to its smaller process technology, the GeForce 7600 GT also uses less power and emits less heat. This obviates the need for big, noisy coolers. This may also mean better overclockability!
Although we have provided some benchmark results in this tech report, we will be publishing full reviews of this new graphics card with more pictures, details, benchmark results as well as our overclocking test results. If you wish to find out more about the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT, stay tuned!
