Seagate 8GB Photo Hard Drive Review

Breather Hole

As it is really a miniature hard drive, the Seagate Photo Hard Drive comes with a breather hole. In this case, it's situated at the back.

The breather hole allows condensation inside the hard drive to escape as well as equalizes the hard drive's internal pressure with the ambient pressure. So, please make sure you do not occlude the hole when you install the hard drive!

Protective Case

To protect the Photo Hard Drive against direct trauma, Seagate included a hard plastic case in the package. Of course, it doesn't protect the drive against shock. Still, it's nice to have a case for the card.

The only issue we have with the case (other than its lack of shock protection) is the fact that once seated, it's a little hard to remove the card.

Manual

The cardboard insert that came with the package is also the manual. It contains instructions on how to format and use the card.

It also includes some troubleshooting tips and contact details for support and warranty services.
