Far Cry
Due to its rather poor overclockability, overclocking the GeForce 7600 GT only increased its performance by 10.7%. This allowed it to creep within 88% of the GeForce 7800 GT's performance.
The overclocked GeForce 7600 GT was also 76.2% as fast as the GeForce 7800 GTX and 73% as fast as the GeForce 7900 GT.
F.E.A.R.
Overclocking this card boosted its frame rate by just 3 fps or 15.8%. Still, this allowed it to close its performance gap with the GeForce 7800 GT from 27% to just 15%.
Half Life 2
In Half Life 2, we saw a boost of 10% in performance when we overclocked the GeForce 7600 GT. That allowed it to reduce its performance deficit with the GeForce 7800 GT from 20% to just 12%.
Doom 3
Doom 3 saw a greater improvement in performance of about 12% when the card was overclocked. It was now just 14% slower than the GeForce 7800 GT at stock speed.
