Company Of Heroes
Resolution Comparison
As a much newer game, Company of Heroes really stressed the card more than the two previous tests. There was no sign of the CPU limiting any of the cards here. Even the GeForce 8800 Ultra suffered a 10.9% hit in frame rate when we increased the resolution from 1280x1024 to 1600x1200. Switching to 1920x1200 registered an 18.5% drop in frame rate. Still, it was over twice as fast as the GeForce 7900 GTX, and that's before we even turn on anti-aliasing.
Anti-Aliasing Comparison

Surprisingly, there was virtually no drop in the GeForce 8800 Ultra's frame rate when we enabled 2x AA. Even switching to 4xAA only registered a 7.2% hit in performance. 8xQ AA was the anti-aliasing level that started to tax the 8800 Ultra. It caused a 21.4% drop in frame rate. Moving to 16xQ AA saw a further drop in frame rate of 26.3% to 53 fps, which is frankly a very impressive frame rate.
While the GeForce 8800 GTX can keep up with the new Ultra, it's obvious that the older GeForce 7900 GTX is showing its age. Even at 8xS AA, it was over 63% slower than the GeForce 8800 Ultra at 16xQ AA.
With GeForce 8800 GTX As Baseline

When no anti-aliasing was enabled, the GeForce 8800 Ultra had a very small performance advantage over the GTX. This increased to 7% at 2x AA and went up to its largest lead of 9.3% at 4x AA. The same performance lead was also observed at 8xQ AA, although it dropped to 6% at 16xQ AA.
