Introduction

Kingston Technology Company, Inc. is one of the better known suppliers of memory modules. Established in 1987, they have a good many years of experience in supplying OEMs and system integrators with various memory products.

But like many other memory manufacturers, they have started to pay more attention to the needs of PC enthusiasts as well as the retail market. In fact, Kingston now has many product lines that cater specifically to the retail market.

Today, we will take a look at their latest retail product - the new Kingston 15-In-1 Hi-Speed Reader!

While flash memory cards are very common and have essentially replaced floppy disks, the myriad types of flash memory formats prevents it from becoming a truly universal standard. Fortunately, the available of multi-format readers like the new Kingston 15-In-1 Hi-Speed Reader provide us with the capability to read virtually any flash memory card in the market.

Now, let's take a look at the latest multi-format flash memory card reader from Kingston!

The Package

The Kingston 15-In-1 Hi-Speed Reader came in a clear plastic retail package. It allowed the contents of the package to be clearly seen but it doesn't provide enough protection from the horrors of modern day postal services on its own. You should further protect it with bubble wrap and a sturdy box if you intend to have it mailed.

Side

The back of the package has a list of supported flash memory formats, as well as its system requirements. You can also see that this flash memory card reader was manufactured in China.

The package was totally sealed, so it's impossible to open the package without the use of a blade or a pair of scissors. To be honest, we hate this kind of packaging.
