Conclusion
Flashing the BIOS may give you something extra. It may not. It may help remove some irritating bugs that have been plaguing your card. Or it may just change the BIOS revision number that you see whenever you boot up your computer.
Sometimes, flashing a new BIOS may give you different overclocking or performance results, due to different timings used in different BIOS images. If you are lucky, the new BIOS may allow you to overclock your graphics card a lot more.
So, feel free to try different video BIOS versions for your graphics card if you are up to it! Thankfully, flashing your graphics card's video BIOS is not quite as risky as flashing your motherboard BIOS. If the BIOS flash fails, just flash again!
For those who love modding a cheaper, low-end card into something faster and better, flashing the video BIOS is another way of unlocking hidden features or allowing greater clock speeds. It may also boost performance, even at the same clock speeds!
With that, I wish you all the best in your BIOS flashing endeavours! Happy flashing!
