The Hands On Session
After the presentation, we had the opportunity to check out the new demo units!
Alex was wise enough to warn us that these demo units are actually "prototypes", version 0.9 so to speak. Some of the folks there for the launch were eagerly waiting to see if they could crash the new HP Pocket PCs! ROTFL!
Look at them attacking the new Pocket PCs!
Well, soon enough, there were shouts of glee when someone managed to crash the new iPAQ hx4700 TWICE! ROTFL!
Here are the new Pocket PCs from Hewlett-Packard :-
You can see the HP convergent device, the iPAQ h6300 flanked by the mid-range iPAQ rx3400 and iPAQ rx3700 Pocket PCs. Above and below the h6300 are the high-end iPAQ hx4700 and the value-level iPAQ rz1700 respectively.
Here is a picture of the same Pocket PCs, this time with the fill flash turned off so you can see some details of the screen.
Note the iPAQ hx4700 with its distinctive touch pad. The rx3400 and the rx3700 are virtually indistinguishable externally.
Let's take a closer look at each Pocket PC.
