The Card

Here it is, the BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC!

As you can see, the NVIDIA's graphics cards are rather long when compared to those from ATI. No real harm actually. Just that it would require more space. This will be a consideration for those using smaller PC enclosures.

One difference that is immediately apparent is that BFG used a custom cooler with a copper base and two blue LED fans, covered by an aluminum shroud with a nickel finish.

Now, let's flip it over and see what this puppy has on the back.

The thing that would most probably strike you is the black back plate. The cooler is attached to this back plate. The back plate ensured a rigid mount for the cooler.

Take notice also of the lack of memory chips. All the memory chips have been placed in the front of the card. The eight memory chips were arranged on the PCB as four pairs.
