The ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser is no Speedy Gonzales, unlike the flagship ASUS ZenFone 2, which uses the more powerful Intel Atom Z3580 processor and PowerVR G6430 GPU.
The ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser did very well in video playback though. In fact, it actually beat the Samsung Galaxy S6 in the video playback test!

Battery Performance - PCMark
We then tested the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser's battery performance using PCMark. It basically ran the PCMark work tests until its battery capacity dropped to 20%.
The ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser lasted just over 12 hours on the PCMark stress test. This is a stress test that simulates the worst possible workload. In our real world experience, we had no problem using it for 16-18 hours at a time.

Battery Recharging Performance
The ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser does not come with the Fast Charging capability that the flagship ZenFone 2 model boasts, but it still recharges very quickly.
As the chart shows, it recharged from 12% to 100% in just 197 minutes (3 hours 17 minutes). It actually hit 90% in just 145 minutes (2 hours 25 minutes).
