Size Comparison
The NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT measures about 23 cm long (from bracket to end of the PCB) and 9.8 cm wide (not including the PCI Express connector). It is approximately 1.5 cm thick.
To give you an idea of how big (or small) that is, we compared the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT against the smaller NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT and the huge ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT. In both pictures, the GeForce 8600 GT is on top, with the GeForce 8800 GT in the middle and the Radeon HD 2900 XT at the bottom.
As you can see, the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT is very much thinner than the dual-slot Radeon HD 2900 XT. It is still a long card though, just a mite shorter than the Radeon HD 2900 XT. The lower-end GeForce 8600 GT is a much shorter card in comparison.
