#IncredibleZenDay - The Launch Of The ASUS ZenFone 2

Although ASUS officially launched the ASUS ZenFone 2 smartphones at their "See What Others Can't See" media event in Jakarta on the 21st of April, 2015 (see our coverage here and here), they were not made available here in Malaysia until the 9th of May, 2015.

To celebrate the launch, ASUS Malaysia arranged for a special #IncredibleZenDay event at KL Live. They also arranged for the attendees to be the first to purchase and own the new ZenFone 2 smartphones. As a result, there was a rush to be amongst the lucky few to attend the event. Originally slated for 1,000 ASUS fans, the event had to be expanded to allow another 500 fans to join the launch event.

The long snaking queue terminated in this registration booth. We skipped the line and headed to the dedicated media area.

ASUS Malaysia arranged for a dedicated media area upstairs. It was even guarded by three RELA officers! Naisss...

The media area offered a great view of the crowd gathering downstairs... At this point, there were about 200 people milling near the stage. We still had some time, so we went exploring...

The DJ station was upstairs as well and offered a vantage view.

As promised, the ASUS ZenFone fans downstairs will be able to purchase the new ZenFone 2 right after the event. There is a DiGi booth as well.

Downstairs, these guys are guarding what's probably the ASUS ZenFone 2 demo stations like those set up for the media in Jakarta.
