If you compare the specifications of the four cards above, it is obvious that the GeForce GTX 570 makes the GeForce GTX 480 an utterly redundant SKU. With the exception of a smaller graphics memory size and slightly lower memory bandwidth, the GeForce GTX 570 is superior in every other way. True enough, NVIDIA has indicated that they will be phasing the GeForce GTX 480 out.
Price & Availability
This is not a soft launch - the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 will be available for sale at e-stores right now. However, the best part of this story is the price. NVIDIA is pricing the GeForce GTX 570 at just US$ 349 (~ RM 1082)! Yes, the GeForce GTX 570 will cost US$ 150 (~ RM 465) less than the GeForce GTX 580!
The GeForce GTX 570's low price makes it truly irresistible, especially to financially-beleaguered gamers this Christmas. You get a card that is faster than the GeForce GTX 480 at the previous price point of the GeForce GTX 470. Incidentally, the GeForce GTX 470 will now be sold at the US$ 259 (~ RM 803), which makes it a great alternative if you are short on the budget.
