Single GPU 3D Vision Surround
Multi-monitor enthusiasts will like the fact that the new GeForce GTX 680 features an all-new display engine that is capable of driving four displays simultaneously. With support for up to four displays, the GeForce GTX 680 natively supports 3D Vision Surround multi-monitor gaming.
The GeForce GTX 680's new display engine also fully supports HDMI 1.4a, 4k monitors (3840 x 2160) and multi-stream audio. While three of the displays can be used for multi-monitor gaming, you can also add a 4th display for non-3D display. This would allow you to keep track of your "work" while you play. :)
New Multi-Monitor Features
The new GeForce 300 series drivers will feature a new desktop management system for multi-monitor setups, which now centers the Windows taskbar to the middle display, and allows you to maximize the windows to a single display.
It also adds what NVIDIA calls "Surround Bezel Peaking". That could be a typo because it would be more logical to call it Surround Bezel Peeking because it forces in-game menus that are partly hidden by bezel correction to "peek" out from behind the bezel when you need to access them.
