IOPS Scaling - 4 KB Random Read
This chart shows the drive's ability to handle multiple 4 KB random read operations simultaneously. The solid state drives in this comparison were arranged according to their average performance. While a high overall score may be desirable, this is not necessary for desktop or laptop users who should concentrate on the scores from the single I/O and 8 outstanding I/Os tests. The 32 outstanding I/O test is only important for server users.

The two solid state drives that did the best in this test were the 240 GB Intel 520 Series and the 256 GB OCZ Vector. The Intel 520 series SSD scaled all the way to over 63K I/Os per second with 32 outstanding I/Os, but it was not the best SSD for that test. The honour goes to the OCZ Vector, which achieved over 74K I/Os per second with 32 outstanding I/Os!

In the 4 KB random write test though, both the OCZ Vector and the HyperX Savage virtually tied for the top spot. The Vector only edged out the Savage with a stronger performance with 1 and 32 simultaneous operations, while the Savage was stronger with 8 simultaneous operations.
The PCI Express-based OCZ RevoDrive also did very well, coming in a close third place.
