Heat Sinks For MOSFETs!
After wet-sanding the nForce2 north bridge, I took one of my stock AMD heat sink and made six little heat sinks for my NF7-S' MOSFETs. I used a small saw and after four hours of sawing... TA DA!
Only half of the AMD heat sink. :(
Of course, that is way too big for any MOSFET!
I cut the heat sink down further until I had a few pieces with three to four fins each. Tough work indeed!
I then glued the mini heat sinks to the MOSFETs with some Arctic Silver thermal epoxy. Here, check my handiwork!
Epoxy-glued!
How do you like my arrangement?
That's basically all there is to it! Just cut up a spare heat sink into smaller sections and glue the mini heat sinks to the MOSFETs!
Very simple, right? Well, before you try it out, just one little warning!
