The NVIDIA Release 275 GeForce Drivers

It has become somewhat of a habit for NVIDIA to release a major driver series when they launch a new graphics card. So it was not a surprise when NVIDIA announced that they would also be releasing the Release 275 GeForce drivers with the launch of their new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 graphics card. Just like the Release 260 drivers, Release 275 is a "big one", with a slew of new features and improved performance for new games. Let's take a look at what's new!

Here's a summary of the improvements in the Release 275 drivers (based on the newNVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 graphics card). We will go into the details shortly.

Here, NVIDIA compares the performance of the new Release 275 driver with the latest driver from the Release 270 series on the new GeForce GTX 560 graphics card. Overall, NVIDIA claims that the Release 275 drivers will improve the performance of GeForce 500 series graphics cards by about 10%.

Although a 10% boost in frame rate doesn't seem like much, it's a welcomed boost nonetheless as it could mean the difference between occasional stutters and a silky smooth frame rate. Now, let's take a look at what's new!
