Packaging

Here is a shot of the BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC box.


Shot of the Box

It is a simple retail box that shows the card in it. I personally like this type of packaging because it allows me to check out how the card actually looks like. As you can see, it clearly shows the card through a plastic "window" in the box.

The box also points out of the kind of customer support that BFG provides. A lifetime warranty is definitely a big plus! Let's open up the box, shall we?

This is a shot of the protective packaging that BFG employed in the GeForce 6800 GT OC.


Protective Packaging

The plastic tray offers excellent protection against shock from the sides. However, the card is still vulnerable to any impact from the front.

Still, this method is more secure than most of the other forms of packaging. The most common method used by other manufacturers is the use of an anti-static bag to cover the card; with the whole ensemble placed in a cardboard "holder" inside the box.
