The Upgrading Process : Doing It Online (Part 4)
After purchasing the license, clicking the Next button will cause Windows 7 to load and verify the new license key. According to Microsoft, this verification should take less than a minute but the actual time taken will depend on Internet connectivity and the load on their servers.
Once the new license key has been verified, you will be asked to accept the new license terms. Needless to say, you must click I accept if you wish to continue with the process.
Once you accept the license terms, you will be shown this window. This is the final pit stop before the actual upgrade begins. You have to save all your work and close all open programs before continuing. If you wish to continue working, then click Cancel and the upgrade will be temporarily cancelled. You can resume the upgrade process later.
