Camera Performance - Photos
The LEAGOO Elite 4's main camera sports an 8 MP Sony sensor - taking high resolution photos of 3860 x 2160 in size. However, some of the photos have an abnormal glow or cast to them. On very close inspection, they also appear to be rather noisy.
Take a look at the picture of the warning signs on the left - it appears to have a bluish cast. The close-up reveals significant amounts of speckles and noise. The picture of the horse on the right has a glow to it, probably due to the lights behind throwing off the Elite 4's exposure algorithm. The edges, on close-up examination, reveals significant noise and blurring.
The bubblegum photo was taken with sunlight streaming from across, which seems to cast a blurry glow on the entire photo. You can also see significant noise on blowing it up to 100%. On the other hand, the shot of several bottles was appropriately exposed without any sign of a cast or glow.
These two pictures of oranges and mangoes were also properly exposed with no cast or glow.
In summary, the LEAGOO Elite 4's rear camera works best in shaded areas, with indirect lighting. Any direct light seem to cause a cast or glow on the image. Although the images showed significant noise when blown up to 100%, the image quality was really much better than other smartphones in the same price segment.

Camera Performance - Video Recording
Even though the LEAGOO Elite 4 boasts an 8 MP camera, it can only record videos at a resolution of 1280x720 at 60 fps. It also records in the 3GP format, instead of MP4 or MOV. Here is a sample video we recorded of a piano performance by Mr. Yang I-Deun.
The video was properly exposed, although some details were lost in the shadows. However, it was definitely than the ASUS ZenPad 7.0 in this regard. The shaking is to be expected because the camera does not have optical image stabilisation (OIS), only electronic image stabilisation (EIS). Overall, it did well in this test, exceeding our expectations for this price segment.
