IO Meter
We compared the 240 GB Intel 520 solid state drive (in both SATA 6 Gb/s and SATA 3 Gb/s modes) to its predecessor, the Intel X25-M G2. Do note that these results are based on the average of separate tests using compressible and non-compressible data. This is to address the fact the newer SSD controllers like the SandForce SF-2281 compress data for better performance and lower wear on the memory cells.
