Conclusion
This year sounds like a very exciting year for NVIDIA. Lots of new products announced and lined up for release soon. Of course, the impending release of the ATI R580 VPU is certainly a driving force for what NVIDIA's plans this year.
Will the R580 be the dud that NVIDIA predicts or will it drive shockwaves up and down NVIDIA's spine? That, we will have to wait and see.
But right now, NVIDIA has promised that Quad SLI will be available in retail by spring, hopefully with an affordable price tag. Well, we CAN always hope, right?
At the very least, there's good news for AGP motherboard owners in the form of the new AGP graphics card that will be released on February 2nd. This will allow AGP motherboard users to extend the life of their systems with a GeForce 7-series graphics card.
In the coming weeks, NVIDIA will be sending us more details about their upcoming products, including SLI for notebooks. Be sure to check back for the updates!
