Testing The ASUS PEG Link Mode
We set all the settings in the motherboard BIOS to Auto with the following exceptions :-
- Performance Mode was set to Turbo.
- HyperPath 2 was Enabled.
- PEG Link Mode was set to either the Normal (Disabled) or Faster (Enabled) modes.
- The memory timings were set to use the SPD settings.
- All onboard devices were disabled except for onboard LAN.
- Sound was enabled only for the Call Of Duty benchmark because it wouldn't run without sound.
We ran all the tests twice (except for Farcry, Unreal Tournament 2004 and Splinter Cell) and averaged the results.
