HDTach 2.61 Transfer Rate Graphs
Normal (Single Disk)
Okay, here's the graph for the normal single drive setup. Nothing much to say here except that this represents the baseline performance against which we are going to compare the other setups. Read burst speed is way off the chart, not allowing us to see the true value. Well, it should be somewhere around the region of 79 to 80 MB/s.
Hardware Span (JBOD)
Now this graph is quite interesting. Here, you can see how data is read from the first drive before moving to the next drive.
Mirror (RAID 1)
In RAID 1 (mirroring), the write speed pretty much remained the same from the start till the end of the drive. Its read performance is the same as a normal hard disk drive although it has a much faster random access speed. The Read Burst Speed was also quite fast although it was not as fast as a normal single drive.
