The Scythe Katana comes in a cardboard box with pictures of it on the outside. There's also a shadowy rendition of what appears to be two samurais battling it out with, yeah, you got it - their katanas.
There are no fancy punchlines but they highlighted the cooler's strong points. According to what's printed on the box, the key features of the cooler are :
- Small and lightweight
- 4-way mounting
- 2 heatpipes
- Big-sized, low-noise 92mm fan
You can also check which platforms are supported by this cooler. As you can see, this cooler supports Sockets A, 754, 939 and 940 for the AMD platform. The Intel Socket 478 and Socket T are also supported.
Here's a shot of the back of the box. Its Japanese heritage is quite obvious.
Here, you will find some warranty information, precautionary notes and warnings. Kind of nice of them to lay it all out on the box itself.
The left side of the box shows what we assume to be the cooler's key features in Japanese. There's also a picture of the mounting components as well as contact information for their Japanese, North American, and European offices.
The right side of the box, on the other hand, lists the specifications of the cooler in five different languages, from English to Japanese. You can also see that the cooler was manufactured in Taiwan. No, they were not talking about the box!
Now, let's open up the box and see what's inside.
