Believe it or not, the inspiration for the design of the W3000 series notebook actually came from the traditional Chinese bamboo scroll.

This source of inspiration can be seen on the design of the hinge. Influenced by the bamboo scroll, the battery is now incorporated into the hinge of the notebook!

The power button can also be located on the side of the hinge where the battery is located. With the new location of the power button, a quicker power on or off is now possible.

There is also less distractions when the notebook is in use. This is because the instant keys are all located away from the display (at the side of the notebook). Therefore, there will no longer be any more distracting blinking lights when work needs to be done.

Dust accumulation around the area of the touchpad is also greatly reduced with the new gapless touchpad design. With a 14” widescreen display, 90nm technology, and the one of a kind hinge design, the W3000 series is destined to play a significant role in the notebook market today.
