Conclusion

Who doesn't want a high-end graphics card like the GeForce 7800 GTX? But truth be told, many of us can't afford high-ends cards like that without mortgaging our cars, homes, girlfriends, etc...

But thanks to NVIDIA, we have a new affordable alternative. Although it is certainly not as sexy as Quad SLI or even the GeForce 7800 GTX, the new GeForce 7300 GS is a breath of fresh air for the budget-challenged (okay, okay, stingy ones!).

Although it will certainly not be as fast as the GeForce 7800 variants, it will come with all of the advanced features found in the more expensive GeForce 7 series cards. With the price point of these cards set at $99 or less, the GeForce 7300 GS will certainly be a LOT more affordable than any of the GeForce 7800 cards.

But just how usable is it? That's the ultimate question, isn't it? There's no point plunking $99 for a new card with leading-edge features if you end up watching a slideshow whenever you try to play any current 3D game. You might as well stick with the integrated graphics solutions found in many motherboards.
