Alienware 15 & 17 Launch Photos & Videos

In this video, the Consumer Country Manager for Dell Malaysia & Singapore, Mr. David Ho, delivers his keynote address for the launch of the new Alienware 15 and Alienware 17 gaming laptops.

In the second video, the Consumer Brand Manager for Dell South Asia, Mr. Christopher Choong, explains the key features of the new Alienware 17 and Alienware 15 gaming laptops, as well as the new Alienware Graphics Amplifier.

The Alienware Area-51

The Alienware Area-51 R2 gaming desktop was announced in November 2014 but this was the first time we have seen it up close. It features the new "Triad" industrial design, which does not only give it a very unique look but greatly improves the Area-51 R2 desktop's thermal management and ergonomics.

We took the opportunity to take a quick view of the unique "Triad" industrial design in this video. Note how the vents at the back exhaust backwards and upwards, so a neighbouring wall would not impede the flow of hot air. It also allowed for better ergonomics when placed on the floor - it is easier to reach the I/O ports in the front. Incidentally, on the monitor, you can see the colour controls for the LED light that radiates on the side of the chassis.

Although Dell quoted a base price of RM 6,999 (~US$ 1999) for the Alienware Area-51 R2, the lowest available configuration online costs a whooping RM 9,999 (~US$ 2849). Check out the three available configurations :
