In this test, the Kingston DataTraveler Elite 3.0 ended up faster than the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 Gen. 2 because of its high sequential write speed. On the other hand, its small sequential read speed was about half that of the Ultimate 3.0 G2.

This is the most important test, because most people use USB flash drives to transfer files. The Kingston DataTraveler Elite 3.0 delivered a really good read speed of 85 MB/s. Its write speed of almost 39 MB/s was half that of the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 Gen. 2 and the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0, but still much faster than regular USB 2.0 flash drives.
Do note that these read and write speeds of 85 MB/s and 39 MB/s are higher than the rated read and write speeds of 70 MB/s and 30 MB/s.
