Gameplay - Obstacles And Puzzles

The obstacles and puzzles are very straightforward. However, they are not the obvious type of obstacles or puzzles that hits you right in the face. It won't be a case of "hey ,lookie here, pull the lever, jump the ledge, climb over the wall and get on!!".

The obstacles are not difficult but you do need to be a little observant if you want to figure out what to do and how to do it. You'll get through the game really fast if you are observant and good at remembering what you learnt during the tutorials.

What makes the obstacles really fun is the fact that the prince that you control has the dexterity of a gymnast! The prince gets to do a lot of fancy stuff like running at the top of walls, climbing up high places by bouncing off walls that are close enough or running up a wall and bouncing over to another ledge!

He even gets to hold on to poles and do gymnast-style swings. He can even vault over enemies and slash them before he lands. Cool, huh?

Usually, the obstacles come with the puzzles. In fact, when I come to think of it, the obstacles are puzzles themselves. As mentioned earlier, the obstacles require you to be rather observant.

The game allows you to have the normal view of the prince which is the view that is most commonly used. You can zoom in and out when you are in this view. There is an alternate view where the camera just goes really far away so that you can see the entire picture. Finally, there is a first-person view where you get to see what the prince sees. However, you can only use this view when he's stationary.

With the aid of these camera views, it is much easier to observe and make out your surroundings. They basically help you figure out what can you do to solve a particular puzzle or obstacle.
