Jetart Xcool NP6900 Foldable Notebook Cooler

The Xcool NP6900 is a nice notebook cooler with a great concept. How can you beat a notebook cooler that can fold into a smaller size and comes with an integrated card reader and three USB ports?

However, the cooler isn't quite as polished yet. It's evident in the awkward placing of the card reader in the rear panel, and the lack of rubber pads on the bottom to prevent the cooler shifting during use.

Also, Jetart inexplicably chose to use two separate USB cables when one could already do the job. It's not only irritating to deal with two cables, it also takes up an extra USB port on your notebook.

Performance-wise, it works best with the fans running at full speed. Although the test notebook is rather cool, the NP6900 still managed to reduce the temperature in the memory compartment by 14%.

We would like to suggest that Jetart consider moving the fan speed control and card reader to somewhere more accessible, like on either side of the cooler. Also, we would like to see dust filters fitted to the fan intakes in future models.

In conclusion, the Jetart Xcool NP6900 is a nice notebook with a wealth of features. It's light, comes with a great design and even a built-in card reader! More importantly, it actually does what it's supposed to do - cool the notebook! Admittedly, it's not quite polished. Jetart could and should definitely do better but we can already see the potential.

Because we like what we see in the Xcool NP6900, we are going to award it our Reviewer's Choice Award! We hope Jetart continues developing this cooler. If they correct all the deficiencies we noted, we would definitely award it our Editor's Choice Award!
