Jetart 3D Slot Fan Review

Introduction

Even though water cooling offers better cooling performance, most of us still rely on the good old air cooler. Because the performance of air coolers is only as good as the air within the case, good case ventilation is very important if we want those coolers to function at their best.

This is one reason why many enthusiasts cut blowholes into their cases, and add case fans. They all help improve case ventilation. However, even they cannot eliminate the dead spots inside the case where hot air accumulates due to poor air circulation. For example, the area under the graphics card is often a dead spot.

Of course, dead spots are an even bigger problem if your case doesn't even have blowholes or case fans. But we need not just stop at blowholes and case fans.

Jetart has a unique solution for this problem – the Jetart 3D Slot Fan. You may think that this is just a conventional PCI slot fan, but it is actually more than what it seems. Noticed the word ‘3D’ in its name? There's a reason for it. Let's find out why they call it a 3D slot fan!

The Package

The 3D Slot Fan came in a retail package that allows you to see the contents but offers little protection to the product itself. If you intend to have it delivered by mail, make sure it's properly protected by bubble wrap and a box.

There's a cardboard insert at the back of the package. Everything you need to know about the 3D Slot Fan is printed there. It not only includes an installation guide, it also comes with a pictorial list of the components in the kit. This allows for easy identification of the various parts.

Inside, we found the following items :

  • One bracket ( 194.6 x 134.0 x 16.7 mm )
  • Two brackets ( 109.1 x 80.0 x 4.5 mm )
  • Three 70mm fans ( 70.0 x 70.0 x 15.0 mm)
  • Three metal guards ( 70.0 x 70.0 x 5.0 mm )
  • One 1-to-3 pin adapter ( Length : 320 mm )
  • Two cable ties ( 80 mm )
  • Twelve screws ( ø 3 x 20.5 mm )
  • Six screws ( ø 3 x 4 mm )
  • One screw ( ø 6 x 6 mm )
