WinBench 99 Version 2.0
Business Disk WinBench 99
In Business Disk WinMark 99, the VelociRaptor HLFS was faster than the VelociRaptor BLFS by 1 MB/s (7.8 %). This is a statistically significant difference.
High-End Disk WinBench 99
In the High-End Disk WinBench 99 test though, both the BLFS and HLFS models have virtually the same throughput.
Disk Transfer Rate
This chart shows you the range of platter-to-buffer transfer rates from the innermost track to the outermost track. In other words, it shows you the range of disk transfer rates of the hard disk drives (from minimum and maximum).
As we saw earlier in the platter profile, the BLFS was consistently faster than the HLFS. The chart reflects the same thing. The VelociRaptor BLFS has a higher range of disk transfer rates than the VelociRaptor HLFS. The difference in transfer rate was 1.4 MB/s at the inner tracks and 2.0 MB/s at the outer tracks. However, the difference is statistically insignificant at just 1.6 %.
