NVIDIA FXAA Technology
NVIDIA is touting the advantage of their FXAA technology, which they claim is 60% faster than 4xMSAA, the current standard for pixel peepers. It is applied along with other post processing steps like motion blur and bloom, providing a performance and memory advantage over multi-sample anti-aliasing (MSAA) in games that support deferred shading.
Here are screenshots of the Samaritan demo, demonstrating the quality differences between no anti-aliasing, 4x multi-sample anti-aliasing and NVIDIA's FXAA.
The good news is FXAA is now available via the NVIDIA Control Panel for the new GeForce GTX 680. The bad news is it is not available for older GeForce cards.. at least not at the moment!
