Zalman ZM600-HP 600W Power Supply Review

Power Supply

Keeping true to the black motif, the Zalman ZM600-HP has a cool galvanized black metal chassis. We like its simplicity. It's like a PC Power & Cooling PSU, with a simple matte black coat. If you ask me, minimalism is a style of it's own.

Unlike gaudier offerings from other companies which feature anodized cases and all, this simple design with only LEDs for bling bling is just fine. It's minimalistic and we like it.

Let's take a look at it from all angles. The left side of the power supply has a large label with its key electrical specifications while the right side has a label of the part and serial numbers.

Left
Right

The front has the usual bundle of power cables, as well as sockets for the modular cables. The back, like with any other power supply, is where you plug in the power cord and turn on the power supply. You can see the aluminium heatsink and copper heatpipe through the grill.

Front
Back

There's absolutely nothing on the top of the power supply, but on the underside, you will come face to face with a large 120 mm Zalman fan, with a sprinkling of feature labels like Active PFC and ball-bearing fan.
