The Intel Core i7-965 Extreme Edition

Here's a closer look at the Core i7-965 Extreme Edition processor. This particular unit is an engineering sample fabricated in Costa Rica. It looks pretty much like an Intel Core 2 processor, only larger in size.

To give you an idea of how much larger the Core i7 processor is, we compared it to the Core 2 Extreme QX9650 quad-core processor. Also, note the much larger number of contact points under the Core i7-965 processor.

If you would like to learn more about installing the Intel Core i7 processor, be sure to read our Intel Core i7 Installation Guide.
