Introducing the ZM50-HP
Zalman is widely known for their innovative "Quiet Cooling Solution" and "Computer Noise Prevention System (CNPS)". Their coolers have so far been fairly impressive, being able to cool even overclocked CPUs without the associated noise. Of course, they may not be in the same league as top-of-the-line coolers using killer fans from Delta and YS Tech but let's forget the killer 'noise' level produced by such coolers!
Branching away from their CPU coolers, Zalman recently introduced two new GPU coolers, namely the ZM50-HP and the ZM80-HP. Being Zalman, you can expect something unique from them. And the defining feature Zalman included in these two new coolers is the use of heatpipe technology! More on this later.
The two coolers basically have the same design. The only difference between the two is the available surface area for heat dissipation. The ZM80-HP has about 1000cm2 of heat dissipation area while the smaller ZM50-HP only has about 400cm2 of heat dissipation area.
