IOPS Scaling - 512 KB Sequential Read

This chart shows the drive's ability to handle multiple 512 KB sequential read operations simultaneously. The solid state drives in this comparison were arranged according to their average performance. While a high overall score may be desirable, this is not necessary for desktop or laptop users who should concentrate on the scores from the single I/O and 8 outstanding I/Os tests. The 32 outstanding I/O test is only important for server users.

Just like what we saw in the 512 KB random read test, the HyperX Savage was slightly faster than the OCZ Vector, which delivered a tremendous throughput that 20-25% faster than either drive could deliver.

IOPS Scaling - 512 KB Sequential Write

This chart shows the drive's ability to handle multiple 512 KB sequential write operations simultaneously. The solid state drives in this comparison were arranged according to their average performance. While a high overall score may be desirable, this is not necessary for desktop or laptop users who should concentrate on the scores from the single I/O and 8 outstanding I/Os tests. This is almost exactly what we saw with the 512 KB random write test. The HyperX Savage was phenomenal in large sequential writes, overshadowing even the OCZ Vector. It was actually more than twice as fast as the Intel 520 Series!
