The Barracuda!
Here's a look at the top plate of the 750GB Barracuda 7200.10 hard drive. The top plate is adorned with a single long label, listing its capacity, model number, serial number and firmware revision.
You really need to squint at the label to be sure that it really has 750GB of capacity inside. It's kinda hard to imagine 750GB of storage space inside such a small case.
In addition, the label lists the country of manufacture (Singapore), technical support numbers of several countries around the world. In fact, it's long enough for Seagate to actually include a short installation guide!
The underside is bare, except for a small PCB. We will examine the PCB and its components in the next page. Here are the right and left views of the Barracuda 7200.10 hard drive.
Nothing much in the front, except for a small label. The back of the hard drive sports the SATA connectors as well as the jumper block.
Now, let's take an in-depth look at the drive and its various features and components.
